Glad to hear that you can escape whilst still fit to do other things unlike many poor souls. I wish you well with the pensions but watch those sneaky thieving gits with both eyes!

I am currently trying to put my AVC's with the oldworks pension so I can draw it down. A 100% draw down would be perfect as it would get it out from their thieving mitts. There were 3 pension pots one remaining from a former employer but they the pension company froze it and would not allow me to do anythign with it and now it's all gone swallowed up in fees and commissions ........................... not a penny of it left.

With the sky high living costs in the UK one can see why many retired people seek elsewhere to live.

Happy retirement Stu.
I'm in a similar situation but the 75ZT work keeps piling in.

If you want extra income why don't you set yourself up as a detailer for high end cars (not valeting)
It would be right up your street 😃

Default Redundancy/Retirement

Well

As at 1700 hrs this evening I am officially retired, having spent 19 year working at Durham University and 23 year in HM Forces, and am now looking forward to my retirement

A few jobs to do around the house and garden, and then will be able to spend some time with the fleet giving them a good going over, and getting them ready for next years meets

Stu

Don't tell you insurance company that your redundant / unemployed or your premium will rocket.

Stick with the "retired" description.
