Coolant temp sensor threads stripped
I had to change my coolant temp sensor on my cdti with a new one does not seem to go very tight not sure if stripped threads on cylinder head or sensor any ideas or fixes thought of using heat resistant silicone to seal not sure

I would check the sensor to see if the threads are damaged there first, if it is the engine side that's damaged, fit a helicoil, that will hold it in place nicely.
