Default 999999 Error

I’ve seen lots of threads on this from about 10 years ago but am wondering if there is any up-to-date info. After disconnecting the battery to resolve an airbag light problem (replacement ECU sorted it) the mileometer now reads 999999. The fix seems to be to swop the eeprom in the IPK with a “virgin” one and then use T4 to “reintroduce” it to the car. The problem I have is there is no T4 in central Scotland and I’m not sure where to source a “virgin” eeprom.

I’ve had some success with TOAF in resolving the airbag issue and this didn’t seem to exist when most of the threads regarding this issue were created. Can TOAF be used to help me out? I’ve read the IPK an it displays a mileage of 1km.

Any help much appreciated as the MOT is due soon!
