reversing camera installation

Hi I am going to install a reversing camera in my Mk1 tourer before i drill the hole for the camera I would
appreciate advice on where is the best place to install it wouldn't
like to drill a hole on the tailgate to find it's in the wrong place any advice please thanks in advance
