Those plastic things are one of the things that make my car feel cheap, they are always falling off even with new clips.
If the money is right and they are easy enough to attach then sounds like a good plan. Would silver coloured items still match under there do you think?

Tried all the clips and solutions but one well angled kick and the thing is up in the air again...

I too would be interested in a set of these, got to be better than the plastic bits (one of which is missing from nearside rear on my car).
