A bit of a coincidence.
I'm looking for a rear, nearside, saloon door, also in white gold. Toby, I live around 20 miles from you, so if a supplier turns up in the North or so, perhaps we can share a journey, or use pony express (I think that is what it's called) to just one address. White Gold is code GMN. Regards Mike

Hi Mike,
That is a coincidence (Particularly that we aren’t too far apart). Sounds like a plan! Thanks for the code. I think it must be that one but couldn’t locate the sticker to confirm. Actually, thinking about it. I could also use a rear bumper but that is much less critical (the current door has a few faults), the bumper is just tatty. Cheers, Toby |

Yes, split fuel or carrier costs, if we end up getting them from the same car, which is a possibility.
I've just posted a wanted door for myself, and made reference to your requirement. Trust that is OK. Regards Mike

There are two white gold paint codes guys, one for Cowley and one for Longbridge!
Our local scrapyard has a Longbridge white gold saloon in with decent panels.

Many thanks for that trikey.
My car is certainly Longbridge. Toby's profile shows a 2004 car, in blue, confirmation needed. Can you give a telephone number for the yard please? Regards Mike

There is an ambiguity regarding White Gold, and as trikey has said, there are two colours.
The significant difference appears to be that initially it was a heritage colour (GMN). It then became a metallic colour (GMK) GMK is referred to in "Rover 75 & MG ZT" by James Taylor, and the change over year is 2001, or 2002, dependant upon where I take my info from. Clearly we must use the code stamped on all 3 cars, (Toby's, Mine & the yard) to be certain. Regards Mike

Hi Mike,
Profile updated (my first 75 was blue). This one is also 2004. I did look for the paint code on the drivers door pillar but couldn’t see any info there - will check again. Perhaps I’m looking in the wrong place. Cheers, Toby |

Hi Toby,
Open your front passenger door, and the plate is at the bottom of the B pillar. Just checked mine, and it is GMN. Regards Mike
