There is a Pity Me in Northumberland also.
What about the Land of Nod? You can go down Drain Lane to get to it. There is was/was an airfield nearby and up to about 10 years ago you could visit a farm wholly worked by heavy horses. Oh, and there are bog oaks. It is a difficult one because it is not found by Google Maps or Streetmap, but it exists. I see that it is on the Funny British Place Names site. If we're onto French names, don't forget that there's also Brest and Condom!
Oh and, whilst it's 200 miles or so from New York to Boston in the States, it's only 11 miles here! (unless you go to the "other" other New York in Tyneside, when it's about the same!)
