Default Lady Rover 75 owner in distress in Paris

While searching for a Rover 75 of my dreams (oh yeah!) I came across an ad for one in the Paris region which had the engine immobilised because of a rundown battery, that was back in July. Two months later she still hasn't sold it, not surprisingly, as it's still immobilised; claims she has no money to get a Rover agent (seems they do exist still) to do the necessary for c. 500 euros.
Is there any advice one could give her ? Help one can offer ?
It's a 2001 2.5 V6 Pack Luxe (equivalent to Connoisseur), 160 000 kms, manual box, sunroof, xenons, new tyres and cambelts changed, in a light metallic blue with sandstone leather interior. Lhd, of course.
Wants the excessive price of 3,000 euros for it, but these cars are much more expensive in France...
