Hi,
Did you ever get to the bottom of this fault??? My rover 75 CDT 51 plate. Started to do the same on monday. Both fuel pumps are ok i changed the fuel filtter STILL Max 2600rpm!!! Mines runs at idle ok. Never cuts out. I can drive it all be it very slowly!! please help. |

ive posted on your other post TNARG ive narrowed it down to fuel rail sensor and MAF (but the other plug joined to your maf (i think its the air intake temp senor)

is car still running ok.
Is it just the PCV fillter you removed. I thought i fixed mine by changing the O ring's but guess what ? Fault is back intermittent - no revs above 2800rpm. |

I read a post a few days ago where this lack of revs business turned out to be the crank sensor failing to give a signal at high revs so the ECU switched off the fuel until the revs dropped slightly. The signal started again and the ECU went back to full fuel again.
Was found by one of the specialist repairers on here and is a rare but possible fault. Sorry but I don't know how to locate the thread. Colvert. |
