Default KV6 Crank Pulley Holding Tool

When preparing to replace the belts I was unable to find the MGR tool to hold the crank pulley. I wasn't keen on other methods such as engine locking pin or standing on the brakes so decided to adapt from a similar tool designed for various VAG cars. Images show the result. (No giving me marks out of 10 for execution please!!).
The base tool is readily available with 50mm across flats. My mod involved cutting 8mm and 10mm x 25mm aluminium bar and securing to the tool with M4 countersunk screws tapped into the tool. The bar is different sizes purely because I couldn't find 9mm. So I have 8mm around one half and 10mm opposite.
I held the tool in place with a breaker bar in the hole provided in the tool and the other end wedged against the floor.
Having used it now to both undo and tighten the bolt it did the job well so I thought I'd share with you.
Michael

Nice one - always good to see a bit of home modification.

Excellent!! Just because the correct tool isn't available, doesn't mean the job cant be done.
