Fan not working
I have a 2002 cdt & i went to fill the ac gas today, the guy told me my fan doesnt spin when you turn on the ac
I noticed that my engine gets hotter quickly but it always stays stable at the half mark of the temp gauge Is it a big job? i checked the fuse , it's fine. Could it be the relay? or the motor? Do i need to buy a new fan? ... i hope not thanks |

If you search the forum there's plenty of info about testing fans to work out what's wrong.

The first thing to do is find out which type is fitted, 3-speed or 2-speed. If it's the original factory fitted fan, it's likely 3-speed. However, many failed fans have been replaced with the later 2-speed. Looke for a resistor behind the fan blades in the 2 o'clock position. If so, it's the later 2-speed version. Once you know the type, it makes the rest more straight forward. Quote:
