Cool

Well it was meet of two halves. We all met at the Halfway House. Some cars were staying and others were going on to a 2nd pub for the anniversary run. The Old Garrison in Shoeburyness was out meeting point. 27 cars went there with another 12 staying at the Halfway House.

Food at the Old Garrison was either carvery or B-B-Q. And plenty of it at good prices. The landlord at the pub wants us back on a regular basis. So it looks that we maybe using it again.

There has been a shake up in the running of the MG-Rover Southeast Club. Alan Hodgson who started the club up, has taken a step back in the running of the club. Moderators of the club now are Dave Beale, Paul Woodham, Shelley Pope and myself. I hope to be able to still to organise meets on here and help out over there. The Halfway House meets will still happen on the third Sunday of every month.

I'll post some pictures up tomorrow.

Well first may I say congratulations bob, but also I am concerned that you dont over extend yourself and the task you have set yourself as the New RS for London North & east will be pretty challenging in its own right.

You may say its none of my business but I just want to express my concern that you dont over do it

You had a lovely trip out and the old garrison looks to be a deal. We had good company at Halfway House and spent close on £££££ for the meal at the pub. Just as well we were not in the slap up mood. Oh errr! lol

Well I think we went some way to defuse the managements complaint that the club never uses its dining room, as usual the level of conversation was excellent & I finally found out why I have that annoying buzzing noise at 1800 rpm !!. The pics are excellent david and the pub does look good the line up was reminiscint of F & W for me, but once again well done.

I took some additional photos at the Shoebury event the old-fashioned way (slide film) which came back from the developers today. I also had them scanned so if you go here you should get a slide show:
http://s1263.photobucket.com/user/da...0July%202013-2

Photobucket shrinks the file size so they don't take for ever to download as a slide show, but if any car owners would like a copy of the original hi-res image (big file) of your car please let me know.
