What make of slave cylinder did you fit and how long has it lasted?
Interested to know what the best slave cylinder is. Just purchased a 75 with a failed slave cylinder. The clutch and slave was replaced last year!
There’s a couple of people on here that suggest LUK are the best, but I struggle to believe this when I’ve read about 100 cases of LUK slave cylinders prematurely failing over the last few years. I was going to try a sellers oem-q slave, however it’s a secret as to who makes them. So won’t be buying that one. |

I would buy nothing described as OEM-Q either, a poor marketing ploy, designed to sell tat Brian |

I had a luk one that lasted a whole 17 days before it gave up, it didnt leak, the two copper pipes were loose allowing air into the system.
I'm not sure on its replacement but I hope its a Rymec one, they give a 2 year warranty. |

Am I right in thinking that the original fitment slave cylinders had semi flexible pipes. I wonder whether the insistence to change everything to metal is causing unnecessary strain on the joints when fitting to the gearbox?

LUK master 13 months 3000 miles
LUK slave 21 months 6000 miles. Fitted by a very well known and respected member (not the usual clutch specialist) who knows how to fit them now in Norfolk. |
