All very close to the year of my first bike.--A 1937 BSA 250. Three speed with the gear change on the tank. Passed my test on it in 1955.

Somebody had stripped it right down and it was brought home by my father in three cardboard boxes !!!!

My first experience as bike mechanician trying to piece it back together.--
