Red face Frozen out.....

Went out to the car this morning to defrost ready for the school run, not thick frost but it was frozen solid (-2) As my key fob doesn't work I have to use the key... I couldn't even get it in the lock..... went indoors got some warm water and poured it over the outside of the handle/lock trying not to get any inside..... so got key in but would not turn in lock cue bit more hot water...... so now in car and she turns over first time... engine warming up... so now opens rear door to get seat ready for school run... door won't shut... cue little warm warm water.... took 10 minutes to get it to shut.... So now car totally defrosted ready for school run.

Have been out to check doors/locks and they all work fine but temperature is just above freezing.... and its going to be cold again tonight....
