Morning Bib - and anyone else tuned in this morning.
Early start for me - off to the Doctors for my annual bloodletting - reviews for diabetes and heart, so they want my blood, a couple of full sample bottles, weight and blood pressure etc.
A week's time when the results are in, I'll get all the usual lectures about BMI, low salt, low fat diets etc.

Well - that's the first hurdle safely negotiated - blood pressure, at 135/72 is fine. The nurse insisted I went on the scales - 14st 6lbs, and she knocked the 6lbs off for clothing etc. - result!!

Really enjoyed the show. Great to see so many of my friends from this forum, caught up with the chat with most, missed talking to a few.

At 11am yesterday the NEC came to a stop. The only sound was the air conditioner.
It was a year ago yesterday that I lost my brother, ex-RAF, but of course I never learnt of his passing till after his funeral. A tear or two may have escaped in memory of him. And my Dad who landed on the beaches with the 11th Armoured brigade.
A silent Thank You to Derek and all those before, during and after at various conflicts for giving there lives to keep us free.
I wondered if that would happen, very important that it did. We would have honoured the fallen ourselves, but we were halfway up the A1 at the time, so stopping wasn’t an option, but we did honour the silence in the car.

Had an overnight guest.

Wee Goldfinch, found him on the path late yesterday, well the girls did. Suspect he was stunned, quite often get a bird hitting the kitchen window nearest to the feeders. Initially I put him on the wall but he just sat there. It was cold and damp so took him in, some seeds and water. He's a lot perkier this morning but I've to wait til my other half gets home off the nightshift before trying to release him.

Good morning Bob, if you feel tired along the way, have a break as it’s a long drive. Have a safe trip back home.

Morning all, I’ve just surfaced after getting back from the NEC at 10pm last night. My feet are now in soak for the day and my voice on silent running to give my vocal chords a chance to recover.

It was a heck of a good three days though and we gained several new members. It was good to see such club stalwarts as RPWC, Rev Jules, Teflon, and Mickyboy to name but a few. Thanks for coming to visit, and Rich thanks for the update on your mate Michael, I’m glad he made a full recovery after the meal on Saturday night

Time to unload the tourer for another year next.

Morning all, bright day here & the sun is trying to make an appearance.
Had a lie in today which is not like me! I'd have still been in bed if it wasn't for three cats sat on my chest wanting their breakfast

Morning Rev, Oh right! I've just seen Steve's comment so I hope something can be sorted out for Lillian.

I'm still suffering with back problems and cant bend, cant put socks or pants on again this morning.

The release has been put on hold, couldn't fly, one of her wings is damaged. Its a she, not a he as I first thought, wee bit research pointed that out. She's got food (which she's eating), got water and she's feisty! Picked her up after the attempted release and got pecked "gerroff!". Keep her another couple of days, see if there's any improvement, if not I'll phone the local RSPB.
