Default Help Needed Please

Hello

My Rover 75 1.9 cdt (53 reg) had been running great after having some work completed on it by Brian and Gary.
I have ran it up and down the country with no issues recently until last Saturday evening when I went to the shop, upon returning to the car the car would not start.

No engine turn-over
No click from starting motor
EP flashes them goes off
Nothing
I tried to use jump leads from my 4x4 and still nothing.

I have had a ECU change, new earth lead fitted and a new internal fuel pump fitted, it was starting 1st turn of the key then 5 minutes later nothing I am at a loss.

Any help or advice would be great.

Check and clean the spade connection for the small control cable going to the starter motor.

To rule out a repeat of a duff earth, run one of your jump leads directly from the -ve terminal of the battery, direct to a clean metal surface on the engine, I favour the engine side of the top mount, and see if that makes any difference.

Is the car at home Lee?

I took the battery off last night and it was flat, I charged it overnight and it was completely charged this morning. When I put it on this morning and it started up 1st turn of the key no jump lead on engine mount or anything.

I have the following issues:-
I had ran the car to Manchester airport left it for a week and the back to Hartlepool, a of days before and also around the town, the battery seemed fine when I went to the shop (1st turn of key) then the car would not start no turn over.

Any ideas?

Regulator on the alternator might be duff. I had the same symptoms on my 25 and replacing the regulator cured the problem.
