Default Bonfire Night torching

My neighbour went out to a party last night leaving his car parked on the road outside the Pub after imbibing too much alcohol. This afternoon I took him to pick his car up and we found a totally burnt out shell. Gutted is an understatement but he took it reasonably well.

The landlord said that it was set on fire around 4am and the brigade called. Police are going to look at CCTV tomorrow. He has been working all week ready to put it in for its MOT tomorrow. The insurance got it picked up within an hour saying they will asses it and get in touch with their findings. Nothing left to asses so he's now expecting a minimum pay-out.

So some excrements fun has left him carless making it difficult to get to work. He works a permanent late shift on an industrial estate away from bus routes and outside normal bus running times to get home, so really stuffed. I feel for him and the agro he's going to go through to get his money quickly to replace it.

That was my first thought as well.

Maybe they threw one in the car on the way past hopefully the cctv can shed some light on what happened.

No definitely trouble makers. The police said there had been several incidents from 5 cars on a forecourt, 3 caravans, one guy filmed pouring petrol over the road and lighting it and several parked cars like Martin's. Now normal for fireworks night in Bradford set a car on fire then attack the fire brigade when they come to put it out.

The worst area for this in the city decided enough was enough so vigilantes patrolled the streets to protect buildings and businesses that have been attacked last year and they also set up street parties. It worked but they just moved to other areas of the city.
