Diesel engine mounts
Hi all,
I believe I've got an engine mount on the way out. I just wanted people opinion on these I've seen on flea-bay please. I might be wrong, but the last time I looked for some from DMGR / Rimmers, I cant quite remember where, they were out of stock or discontinued. Opinions please, and anyone a able to help me fit them in exchange for beer tokens, tea / coffee, bacon butty etc! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133593799...this%20listing. Many thanks Richard

I can help you fit them, how are you off for tools, ramps and a dry place to work or do you fancy a trip to "Lincoln"?
PM me if you want me. macafee2 |

My first thought is make a trip to the Nano on 22/23 October.
https://www.midlandsnanomeets.co.uk/...1bc1054677e65e Let the Guru's there take a look (go on Arctic - you know you won't be able to resist ) and they'll help you do it. I'd PM Arctic to see if he has one you could buy off him. It'll be good quality if he's got one. If not he'll know where to get a "proper" one from. I doubt you'll need the full set in your link - possibly only the "oval" one at bottom right in the photo. The one above it ideally needs some special tools - which will be there at the Nano along with the expertise to use them. Good Luck with it. |

Hi all,
the oval bottom one is actually the only one that I know is good. I replaced that when I first bought the car a couple of years ago. The engine has become "harsh" and I've got a vibration which is developing, plus now I seem to have a bit of an exhaust blow from the front pipe, which I'm putting down to movement of the engine which has caused either the joint to open up, or possibly the flexi section to fracture. I've not been able to get to investigate yet as it always seems to be raining when I'm off work! I'm thinking that the harshness could be down to one of the hydro mounts on the way out, but I cant see any oil from the top left one, I'm thinking its the one on the passenger side! If anyone does have a good couple of engine mounts available I'm interested please! As to a dry place to work, no, it's out in the wild weather, so I might be taking you up on that offer of a hand and a drive out to Lincoln macafee2!

You'll usually find it's one of the three on the 'engine side' - the gearbox mounts tend to last very well.
As luck would have it, we currently have a shipment of these heading to us due in a couple of weeks; we're offering 7% off all pre-orders placed. This is the kit we have: https://bit.ly/3yhV9kH With discount it comes down to around £107, a steal for all Genuine MG parts.
