This is why I took the RS role back on. And I was on my way to sort out a venue for a meet when we expired.

Just spoted this Bob, sorry to hear she's not very well, couple of aspirins in the header tank and a new gasket and she'll soon be up and running again. It's your wallet that's going to hurt but Banana will be back home again.

Blimey Bob, Banana is VERY lucky to have you if this'll be the 4th gasket ??
Just a thought, but instead of new bolts, you thought about a zip fastner... I'm not much help, am I...

1st HGF at 40,000 with previous owner. Non-uprated fitted. 2nd HGF at 80,500 with me. Warrant direct would not agree to fit the MLS uprated one as it was deemed to be a modification. So the old style was fitted. 3rd"A". HGF at 120,000. MJS fitted the MLS, Payen, one. 3rd "B". 128,00. NOT HGF but owing to the unexplained water loss, MJS fitted another gasket plus all the other bits. And another skimmed head. All done under MJS warranty. No further water loss. Have spoken to Mike this evening. He is going to take the top off tomorrow and change the HG for peace of mind. This was not the total cause of the engine shutting down, all the hose's are intact and the thermostat is functioning as it should. But the radiator appears to be the cause as it has a hairline split in it. The engine shut itself down which points to HGF. But what caused the radiator to split? As far as I'm aware it was ok when the breakdown driver filled the radiator up. But thinking about he did not put the cap back on so no pressure to see the water coming out. So until I speak to Mike tomorrow I'm no wiser.

Yes filled with plain water but car was tucked up undercover in the garage overnight. No frost last night either.
