Putting up photos

Since the demise of photobuckets Free option I have tried numerous sites and when I cut and post linky in the thread using the picture icon all I get is the URL?
All help appreciated. Used Artics recommended site but still no joy.

Steve uses Imgur as you know and I have got used to it now, it does work and should give you a, choice of links including one to use on message boards, stick with it

Imgur seems to work fine for me. I stil mostly use photobucket as I have a paid subscription. But, it’s a heap. Imgur seems quite good and simple.

Hi Sean load to yourself then post as if your own don’t copy and paste directly I’ve had no issues with any of my listings mate hows that old Renault

Just a thought. I think your link is either the wrong type or you aren't overwriting the existing tag in the text field. It needs a Direct Link URL, which is normally identified on image hosting sites as https:// rather than http://. Copy/pasting URLs doesn't need the pre-entered type identifier on the insert photo gui. It needs a blank line to paste the URL on.

I did suggest “Thumbsnap” to the Mods as Pistonheads use it and it loads up images perfectly sized for the forum but I’m not sure if anyone looked into it

Lots of people use tablets and smart phones now, I personally don’t even own a computer now
