When I got back yesterday I felt OK, although my left foot was swollen. I put that down to driving the Bear. Not the most ideal car to use when house hunting. Having to keep turning around in cul-de-sacs, reversing down driveways. Anyway had my dinner and turned in by 10pm.

Woke up at 3am this morning not being able to breathe properly and my face had ballooned up. Swollen tongue and lips. Pain in my foot didn't help. Sat on the bed and calmed down. Was not sure if I was dreaming. Must have sat there for sometime. I heard Matt going to the loo, so I waited for him to come out. Called out, well tried calling out. Matt took one look at my face and told me to get dressed as he would take me to A&E.

I struggled downstairs once dressed. Again Matt looked both at my face and then again at my foot. Basically the next thing I remember is the paramedics getting me into an ambulance. They kept asking me questions, I gave them a list of my medication, (I always keep a typed list in my wallet), and straight away they knew what the culprit was. My blood pressure tablets, the symptoms were all there. I was immediately given an injection to stop the swelling in my face getting any worse.

Sort of remember the journey, then I was being examined by the A&E team. Turned out that I had a fungal infection in my foot that had burst, hence the swollen foot. The swollen face was down to the blood pressure tablets. I was seen by 4 doctors and they all agreed on the causes. So after spending 5 hours in A&E I was allowed home.
Matt had come to the hospital but left to go and get his daughters cars MOT done, that passed. I phoned Matt to let him know I would meet him by the cafe. The doctor gave me a prescription for some cream for my foot.

Matt told me to get a cuppa in the cafe and he would collect me in 20 minutes. Earlier I had given Matt some contact numbers in case anything was not going to turn out good.
Tea drunk, and I waited for Matt. It was raining outside and I felt tired and cold.
Matt collected me and got me home. I had something to eat and then I went to bed.
Just got up after a 3 hour solid sleep. Face feels no different but the swelling has gone down a bit. Same with the foot.

Matt n Shirley have banned me from travelling home till I'm feeling better. So looks I maybe staying here for another couple of days.
When I do return home it will be in Banana, she is booked to be a wedding car in a weeks time.
Blimey Bob, what a scary story......take it easy mate.

Cool Got another appointment.........................

.................................... At the out of hours doctors surgery this evening. Having problems regarding my foot. I'm now on painkillers. Matt got the appointment for me. Plus still having problems with my mouth although the swelling has virtually gone. The lips and tongue are still a bit numb.nthe hospital did say that it could take up to 72 hours before everything got back to normal.

Allen phoned this morning to check up on me plus I've had a few text & pm messages sending me good wishes. Many thanks everyone.
No grapes have turned up yet though. I expect the postie has eaten them.

I cannot thank Matt and Shirley enough for their kindness in looking after me.
I owe them both a great deal. Suppose I'll have to buy them some replacement T bags.

Cool We have good news and...................

............................ Not So good news.

The good news is that the doctor I saw at the hospital likes the MG ZT's. He saw me getting out Matt's Orange Grove ZTT. We had a nice chat about the cars, it appears he has a Lotus Elise with a VVC fitted.

Now the not so good news, I cannot return home till I have drunk all the tea. I'm on another course of antibiotics, which I must take the entire course. So that's now 3 new lots of medication to take to get better.
All the rubbish that was in my foot has now been expelled by the salt water soaking that I have had.

Matt and Shirley have said I'm not to take a chance on driving home until the antibiotics have started to kick in, need to take any side effects into consideration.

Tea!!!!!! Oh! Go on then. And, fruit cake. Well! if I must. One needs to keep one's energy levels up.

Do as you are told and stay put until you feel better Bob.
As you have often said to others "your health must come first"
Take care mate.
