Steer clear of that fan you have posted the number for above, it is ok say they work but for how long, yes it helps if you know it is working, as this at least gives you a chance to work wit it which you will have to do, ie take the motor lid off and change the brushes, also clean up the commutator. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-75-...gAAOSwivNbNKiX Did you get time to open the control box and see if it had a PCB board in this is what you should find in the photo's below. You have to make sure the coli is all clean and in good condition. 1 Add new brushes 2 The four wire 3 speed fan control will look like this below. 3 The two wire 2 speed with gold resistor will look like this in the control box. 4 Petrol one will look like this. 5 Petrol 2 speed fan with silver resistor 6 M47 control box . 7 K18 control box 8 so control boxes will have on of four markings on them M47 diesel 9 PWM2 also diesel 9a KV6 petrol 2.0-2.5 10 K18 petrol 1.8 three wire 11 Is it possible for you to let us know what fan you have found on your car and maybe put a photo up of the control box, I have read you PM to me hoping this will answer most of it cheers Arctic.

If you don't have air flowing through the condensor you won't have air conditioning.

Hi Jake.
That fan is correct for a diesel car it is a two wire 2 speed fan, you have done correct in changing the silver resistor for the Gold resistor. It should be plug and play, ie you can plug it in to the car loom inside the passenger wheel arch, lean it up against the car or get someone to hold it upright for you. Turn your ignition to II making sure before hand that all the A/C is in the off position by pressing the off button, on the control panel, now press the demist button the fan should run continually. If not then either the relay as gone or the PCB board is at fault, the brushes could have been worn right down but very rare on a 2 speed to have completely worn down, but personally I would change them, what we need to do is see if we an get this running. Do you still have the old fan which you took off.?

Steve,
On a 2 speed PCB, shouldn't the grey wire from the trinary switch be connected to the same terminal as the blue/red wire? Simon
