Surely, they are designed to work on hex heads (external hex)? And is that not all 1 tool to fit several different sizes? Will that fit and turn in the limited space of the seat mountings. Can you get a drill straight down into the head? Standard reverse thread stud extractors might then work. Also, at the risk of ruining the bit, can you not hammer an oversize torx, torx+ or Ribe 8 or even Allen bit into the rounded hole? Hammering can also break the hold of the bolt, and allow Plus gas to penetrate.

Would also suggest you get s spare bolt or 2 from a breakers or one of the traders on here so when you succeed you can fix the seat back in 😀

I've a set of those similar to those made by irwin, they are excellent. Never tried them on a hex bolt, but they can grip anything I've set them to.
One of the best tools I've ever bought. |

Ok well I have just tried Ribe bits but the simple fact is the seat bolt has rounded off too much now for anything to turn it. Also just tried some of those Irwin bolt head removers. They are no good because they wont fit into the limited space of the seat runner. I think its looking like a dehumidifier as the best solution I think and leave the seat where it is.
