Fitted my new MK4 sat nav unit. Not something I use very often but it is such an improvement over the Mk3. The whole thing looks a lot more modern with the maps and all the menus for radio/CD etc.

I'd never seen TMC work but this all works fine as well.

The current map disc is 2014 so might get an updated DVD.

Registered my Car for a SORN

I have no Income currently - so it's some temp work required to get me back on the Road and back to my Job

Not the best time of year for a Car to be sat outside midway through surgery - So i'm Not sure if NL54 WRR will be back on the Road or if I'll Invest the money in a replacement 75 1.8t - I've been keeping an eye on what's available - there are a couple i Like the look of

mk1 75 1.8t in Black less than 40k miles

Received my replacement rear subframe and suspension parts from overseas. Am very impressed with the condition, virtually rust-free off a 15 year old car!! The equivalent parts on my tourer are heavily corroded and this change over should outlast the rest of the car. Just needs a few coats of hammerite now before i fit it shortly.

Nice, cavity wax is an essential for these bits, it does look to have been painted though looking at the arms.......still much better than what you would find in this country.

Enjoy

Well today I found the brake fluid reservoir thanks guys and filled it back up, also secured the loose cable near the rear offside wheel and last but not least put on my club tourer decals .

Finally got some ME time, so despite the rain managed to jet wash and snow foam the underside, wheel wells and rest of car to remove a lovely coating of farm manure and grit ready to try to polish out the scrape down the off-side door and wing that some kind twonk left for me. Looking like it’s doable and not as bad as first thought tho’. Hoorah!

I was a little bored, so I played around for a while in the Man Cave

The ability to walk around underneath in comfort is a novelty I don't think will wear out soon
