I had the same a few years ago from member Supervinnie40 after I, and others, called him out for breaking rules on selling. He was never banned but doesn't appear to have caused trouble since.

It may be "painful" but it shows where on the common-sense ladder you are, which is above them.

Sadly, I think the use of gossip type media breeds this casual bickering and freedom to make stupid comments.

It is a shame but this is the way the world seems to be going. This type of medium gives people the chance to say to people , what they dare not say to their faces. They are the ultimate cowards, and should be treated as such.Pathetic comes to my mind. My attitude to these kind of idiots is to say ‘yes’ and walk away. Bye!

There's always the "ignore" option on your control panel. Posts etc from the member you ignore do not show up. I used it once, not because I had any dispute but the member was either at the wind up or the ultimate idiot, I just got tired of the stupidity of his posts.

Gents, I feel I must clarify a few things, firstly I am not condoning threatening behaviour in any way shape or form, but the person in question is not just your usual 'keyboard warrior'

I have met him on numerous occasions, he's an ex soldier who has seen things that most of us could not comprehend, he suffers from PTSD and this can sometimes get the better of him.

I have had a lengthy chat with him Tonight and he isn't in a good place at the moment, please don't judge him on the way he comes across in his posts, there were reasons he was behaving in this way.

Jules, I am sorry you received a threatening post, if you want to chat via PM drop me a message.

Hi Andy, thanks for that. If he were to show remorse and apologise to Julian by pm, surely that would take this sorry affair a few notches back and not escalate things any further. He picked on the wrong guy to have a go at. I have exchanged pms with the gent in the past and he struck me as being articulate and intelligent, quite different to his public posts. Not all ex soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome behave in this way, but given how he is carrying on — acting out, he needs professional help and those of us who have not suffered with PTSD or mental illness are very lucky.
