Plastic emergency wallet key
Hi all
I am looking for an example of the original plastic emergency wallet key that was supplied with early cars, like this: If you have one going spare, for example from a scrapped car, please let me know how much you want for it. Regards, Bolin.

I did buy a blank plastic BMW like that about 5 years ago but the locksmith wouldn't cut it, saying that it was a slightly different size and would not work. I measured it with my vernier calipers and the difference was absolutely tiny.
More recently Marinabrian linked to one of these same BMW plastic keys when someone posted about the original Rover plastic key, but it is not clear if anybody has successfully had one of these cut. I don't think the slight chamfer done one edge would affect the key working in a 75 lock. I have bought another blank, like the one listed above but with an uncut blade and no transponder, for £3.15 from ebay and await delivery - I'll try a different locksmith this time. I really want a flat spare key. But I would still like an example of the original Rover plastic key to try a little 'experiment'. Which probably won't work!

Me neither until.....
Convinced a friend to get into the 75 way of things and the saloon he bought had a blue Rover plastic key.
