I think you will find for the reasons above the bolt will be tighter than 150nm and will take extra force to to break out , hence the broken Torque wench .
Ideally you want a straight pull from the socket with the breaker bar but realise you may need need to add extension or swivel , but each will loose you leverage . I would go down the impact socket route first trying 18mm or 11/16 af (approx 17.5 mm) using as last resort your extractors ! You can hammer on impact sockets if you have the room

I've done it with the breaker bar - the bolts are out!!!

What's the consensus on the easiest way to split the wishbone from the subframe??

Success , It proves Breaker bars work ! :
Buy new for what they cost , Only issue with Rimmers Bros are post is expensive
If I remember right you removed antiroll bar clamp so I would renew them as well while ordering

Not tried the above personally as I have always had success with my 7LB Lump Hammer Couple of hits and they usually surrender ! Heavier the hammer less bounce ! Thank Smudge for his input
If neither work Simon SD1too has had success with a two leg puller but up to now I have not had to resort to either other method !

The breaker bar is fantastic - I've been after one for ages. I'm reticent to spend 16 quid on bolts in case I can't separate the ball joint but hey, in for a penny in for a pound!

Post 76.----Lump hammer.--Unscrew the nut until it's flush with the end of ball joint thread. Use a flat piece of hardwood or alloy against the nut then whack it.----------
