where are all the 75s
Well I have two, a 1.8 contemporary turbo & a 1.8 connoisseur se and a 60 year old Rover P4 80, the contemporary is my every day car and you will see me out and about most days round Swallownest near Sheffield, but with the good weather we have been having the P4 has been earning its keep, just done the cambelt, tensioner, & water pump on the connoisseur, when I had my garage it use to take me about 6 hours to do the job, it took me a day and half but at the age of 83 I suppose you slow down a bit and every thing was cleaned & painted before it went back.

My jalopy is ever present, south of Stevenage with a recent visit to Pin Green.
Of course there is not a huge amount of 75's because it was not big production wise and every year some go to that scrapyard in the heavens. Funnily enough, seen two 25's in the last three days! Kev Last edited by torque2me; 21st July 2021 at 16:41.. Reason: spelling |

I've recently done a 700 mile round trip to Norfolk and didn't see a single 75/ZT
Lot's of MG3s and quite a few new ZS on the road now, including the blue one that passed me on the A11, I had the cruise set at 70 and it passed me as if I was doing 40mph. I suspect that with rear arm and sill corrosion issues rearing it's head many 75 and ZTs are being scrapped at MOT time. |

Trip Computer vs Brim to Brim
Hi all,
Just following up on my opening post.... I brim filled the tank to work out the actual mpg for my total trip. The trip computer showed 42.1 mpg when we arrived home the brim to brim calculation was 36.3 mpg. Bit of a difference as expected but still not bad for a 2.5 V6 Auto. Majority was obviously motorway and rarely went over 3500rpm. Lovely motoring tbh Haven't seen another '75 since I've been back either! although there are a couple around Stevenage. Cheers John PS. Most expensive unleaded? .. £1.48.9 p/litre .. I think that's about £6.75 a gallon isn't it?. Only bought £10 worth when I saw the price just so I could go elsewhere!

Well after a trip up on Saturday to the Nano Meet (approx 22 cars) and trip down on Sunday to the Frimley Breakfast meet (another 17 ish) then my Rover per miles average has increased significantly!
