too latte now but ask a neighbour if they can give you a jump start.
Buy a set of jump leads and keep them in the car in case no-one else has a set. Did you get going and get to the bottom of the reason for the flat battery? macafee2 |

I see you've been back on the forum.---How did you manage with your flat battery ??
If you have a charger and you get to charge it then give it at least 20 hours. I bit more info from you will help us to help you.-- |

Lack of use can do it.---During the winter months it pays to, maybe, charge your battery up a couple of times.--It will live longer and hopefully not let you down.--

Like all modern cars with a lot of electronics on board, there is a small current constantly drawn from the battery. Some of us have found that it can be a heavier drain than it should be. This shouldn't be a problem if the car is driven regularly, however here are a few tips which you might find useful.

Leyton,
Having your car jump started will get you going, but will not help you to understand why the battery was drained in the first place. I see that you are in Stowmarket. I am near Needham Market so probably less than 5-6 miles from you. I can offer you the following if you do not have the tools etc. 1. Bring over some jump leads and start your car. 2. Fit my spare battery to your car and take your battery away to charge up if you do not have a charger. 3. Perform a current drain test on your car so we can decide whether you have a problem with excessive drain. See https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=315487 4. Show you a little device which can readily give you an indication of your battery's state of charge. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/ba...et-140008.html I can do the above on Wednesday. Let me know by Tuesday pm if you would like me to come over and do any/all of the above and we can agree time etc. by PM. Maninder. Last edited by MSS; 15th November 2021 at 10:12.. |

Pretty sure it was lack of use and it went flat. Haven’t been needing to use it but was starting it everyday, perhaps not for long enough I suppose. Will be needing her everyday this week though so shouldn’t go flat for a while Many Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
