Default Urgent! Help needed in Berkshire!!

I always thought that "spring break" referred to a week of sex&drugs&rock'n'roll that US students do when they are away from their universities...

But obviously spring break can also something that happens to Rover drivers
This morning I had to realize that my passenger side front spring is gone. Snapped almost in the middle and ruined my tire as well.

The car is definitively not even rollable and since I don't have another means of transportation it needs to be fixed ASAP. Needles to say that I'm on a tight budget, too

So, please anyone who is willing and able to help me or even has some useful info, do not hesitate to PM me here or at [email protected] ASAP!

Thanks a million in advance!

I guess the issue is that the job needs a proper spring compressor to do and sadly they aren't the sort of thing people keep

Good luck. Sorry I can't be more help.................

Afternoon Mike,
We use a standard pair of compressors, no need for fancy special tools. Each compressor has two "hooks" at either end to help prevent sliding around.

Could get a complete pair of front end suspensions for about 80 quid... how much is the repair worth...?
Who can help?

Anyone knows a reputable repair shop here in West Berkshire? I won't buy the front suspension off eBay unless I know who's gonna help me with the fitting... Can't do it on my own.
Any input is gladly appreciated!

I seem to recall RDHolmes said he has family that work for Woodley autos (just to east of Reading)

I've used them in the past with no problems. Also used Prince Bros in Twyford. Not so sure about West Berks.

Your 2 closest dealers are now SMC Slough / Wycombe or probably the one in Swindon
