Default Milllers EcoMax Diesel Treatment.

Apologies if this has been discussed before.

Is this stuff any good or is it just snake oil?

I have used it since buying our first CDT about 6 years ago.

It can make the car feel alive.

I buy it in 5L.

I have used this once, before hand the exhaust really stunk of un-burnt fuel.

I filled a new fuel filter with millers, fitted it, ran the car for 30 seconds, turned it off and left it over night. Next morning ran the car 15 or so miles and plus 3,000 revs and took it for an mot.
Emissions passed with flying colours and no more stink and seemingly no smoke.

I have used it for the last two years since I purchased my 75. It deffo makes a difference. A lot less diesel rattle, not that the 75 is very noisy anyway. My emissions are very low on it's last two MOT's

Generally feels smoother.

Been using it for many years, it is very good for emissions as well as lubricating the pumps, just add to fuel all the time. Keep it away from light, it will deteriorate otherwise, gets darker in colour.

And a different observation.----

I have owned and run my car for the last 15 years.

I have never used it or anything like it and my car still gets over 50 mpg.

If it makes you feel good then use it.------( Subjective. )

If you want to be 'objective' then you might need to go through a series of tests to find out if there is any benefit. ---( Guessing doesn't cut it.-- )

In my case, it not only makes the car come alive but also myself. Adding just 100mm to the tank makes me feel like a new man.

Wonderful stuff.

I use this in my Honda accord diesel, now with 174 k mls, definitely improved fuel consumption 6mpg around the doors, quietened slight injector knock.

Contains 2-ethylhexyl nitrate, ( a Cetane improver ) the additive the big petrol companies "Super " diesels use, that people are prepared to pay 10 - 15p per litre more for.

You will only find out if it's any use or not for you, by trying it out yourself.
I would recommend to anybody, more so if you don't do high mileage, or runs where high engine temps are sustained.

Mine has done nearer to 60 mpg, using this along with a 160 remap and cruise control.

I personally like it, but as with everything. Try it yourself, and see if it works for you.
