I don’t know if the above link will work. Its about the new MG “Hector” being produced in India. You may recognise it? It popped up on my Linkedin feed. |

The only Chinese MG I've liked so far has been the MG6, and I've heard some really bad things about them from a few people - Local garage, black box fitters and the like. The EV sportscar concept looks promising though.
They're really not MG's in my opinion, they're soulless, generic Chinese cars at this point that don't deserve the badge. Look at the 'Hector'. Stick a Mazda badge on it and nobody would ever know it's an MG.

Really MG?
Really? MGB, MGF, MG-ZT, MG6, and HECTOR?!? What next? The Jaguar Bartholomew? The Ford Brian? The BMW Helmut?

I actually like it too Simon and said so when it surfaced on Facebook a while ago. It’s also badged as Baojun and as a Chevrolet too in some markets. Let’s be fair guys MG are fairly active in the market that most popular cars are bought by the public which seems to be the SUV and you can’t knock them for doing that. Only thing I’d knock them for is lack of commitment to having more dealers in the UK and the lack of National advertising. Ask the younger generation what an MG is and all you get is a blank look
