Default Rust Spot Warning

Hi all,

Just wanted to post this to make people aware of this potential rust spot as it's very well hidden.

I was investigating a leak in the boot which I thought would be the typical real light seals but I found that it was actually coming from the boot seal. Peeling the seal to investigate further I found that the seal has been trapping moisture at the bottom lip which the seal rides on rustling in it rusting away I cought mine just in time.

So I would reccomend thats its worth pealing the seal off to have a quick look.

My old ZS saloon rusted quite badly in this spot. Presumably a result of a chronic water leak and very thin metal.
