Just to say this is not a 'Launch' car, it is PreProduction, and the VIN number indicates it was built late 1998 or Jan 1999. It was owned by MG Rover Group for some time. It is a rare car, likely the only pre production 2.5V6 manual in existance.

wonder if the headlight washers were standard as i thought only xennon light fitted cars (zt) had them.

My car which is a 51 reg has headlight washers but they’re halogen

they, if I recall were standard on a connoisseur at the beginning (or another variant), soon after becoming an option only(2000/2001?). There is something mentioned about them in the specs/project drive list (again if I recall). I believe this also means that there will be a BBUS alarm system fitted as opposed to the standard horn type, (but I may be incorrect making this assumption ).

They were fitted as standard with cars with factory fitted with Xenon, as this is a requirement for type approval, or I imagine they too would have remained an option too lol.
