The Missus Wasn't Happy - Bought a Moonshine ZTT
I bought a V6 Auto Moonshine ZTT this week from a smashing lad in Scotland. For one genuine reason and another, the car had pretty much stood still for about a year or so. I gather the car is well known as it has been to POL a few times.
Having been stood, it's a little rough round the edges, but the missus has decided we are going to restore it to its former glory, including a respray! However, as neither of us are particularly technically minded, I'm going to use this thread for a few pointers. #1 of 2 - It's got a sticker! Front Back Things that need doing: - Refitting the door cards - the moisture seems to have taken its toll on them - Rear driver door button doesn't pop up on unlocking - Drivers door only unlocks with key - Engine disabled warning light intermittently appears on startup - Only 1 key [trip to see Bug Russ on the cards] - Screen washer not working and leaking [new pump possibly?] - Full major service [will be booked in shortly] - Sunroof doesn't open Once all that's done, it will get a full respray. |

Good luck with the work. Does it need a full respray? From the photos it looks like you could get away with spraying patch(es) and cutting back and polishing. However, photos can be misleading…

Went for a service today and the service centre have said that there is an oil leak, "possibly on the rear main oil seal" which they said is leaking into the gearbox. They wouldn't fix as they're a service centre only and didn't want the job. Does this sound like a big job? At least the gearbox is well lubed
Other things ticked off the list though... 2 new door actuators in the post Bought a million little yellow plastic trim clips Washer bottle pump replaced Track rod ends fitted Couple of bulbs replaced Rear sunroof drains rodded and modded Stocktake is going to check my vis motors once I can get over to his house and I'm aiming to make the next nano meet. |

That looks like a great little project, and a Monogram too. I'd love one but I guess I'll just have to live with my disappointing grey one for now.
