Default Flashing Door Warning Light.

Hi all,

Hope you can help, I was rudely awakened this morning while on a weekend away by the alarm going on my 75, nipped down the stairs, turned alarm off checked car for any signs of disturbance and went back, got as far as hotel reception and it went off again.

I had a similar issue with a Fabia vRS so first thought was to pull the alarm sounder fuse, which i I did but then for some reason I could not lock the car, so ended up pulling the central locking fuse.

Later today I managed to plug the fuse back in for the central locking but i can only unlock the car but have to manually lock the drivers door with the key in the lock and lock all the other doors by manually pushing all the pins.

Having a look at the topics it appears it could be the bonnet switch, which I have tightned up the little rubber boots underneath, sprayed WD40 in all the door latches, but still flashes to say a door is open even when all the doors are secure.

Any further ideas and could the wet weather and flooded roads around where I was cause this issue.

Davy

Well what do you know.....

Came out to car and no light on, plugged alarm sounder on and no issues.

Guessing I am going to have to put this down to the cold snap and a characteristic of the 75.

Probably a bit of damp got into the bonnet switch had exactly the same issue on "redfive" after some under bonnet cleaning when it was in my ownership.
Some anti damp spray will no doubt stop it happening again.
