What car did you pass your test in?
I pass my driving test in a green GPO telephone morris 1000 van.In those days the GPO had there own examiners,we had a weeks driving course and the test at the end of the week .So i got paid to learn to drive. There was 3 seats in the van,so two learners took it it turns.Every day we went somewhere different,Statford upon avon ,Wales and the south coast.my test was on a friday morning at 9 oclock in Birmingham city centre.I did have one private lesson in a brand new truimph herald.

Passed mine in my 1600 GT Capri, even though when the examiner asked me to do an emergency stop on a road covered in 3" of sand at 30mph with inevitable results.
Car went sideways and I thought, well I've failed and just drove round the rest of the test just wishing it was over. Could have knocked me down with a feather when he said I'd passed. Afterwards told me he was impressed with how I correctly handled the skid. Russ
