I seem to remember some German guy had that sort of mindset.----

Made an enormous difference to many, many people.

Everything TATA sticks its nose into takes a quality nosedive, should just be called TAT.

We should be rebuilding our manufacturing industry, not selling it off to foreign competition.

You are not kidding. I have worked for two major companies that outsource design work to India. All that happens (quite often, not always) is we get stuff back with “ is this correct” messages or just wrong.

Our engineers have to carry them and in the end there is no time saving due to managing sending the task, answering questions and putting it right. Senior management will not sanction a code to book rework time to, thus hiding the real costs.

Seems to me the Chinese are making quite a smart move.

If we end up with a pretend brexit, they have another "in" to the European market.

If we end up with a proper Brexit, we get a usa trade deal and the Chinese have an "in" to the usa market.

Or am I just getting old and confused?
