Waiting for new toy from Ron
Took the plunge and bought a box of tricks from Rover Ron. Orderd the SYNERGY TUNING MODULE for my Ztt CDTi 135 auto.
Had it from new nearly 4 years ago. Thought it could do with a make over. Got to to do the brakes next pads all round and rear disks, any imput welcome. Have just got the new Haynes manual which is very helpful. |

THat is one very good Investment you have made there.
Members on here, myself included Rate this very Highly. You will now see what you have been missing in Performance and Torque. The box won't change down as regular either possibly improving your MPG. No more shall I, shall I not, pull out or overtake. |

Fitted the box to Rover Ron!!!
Its like driving a different car. I have also fixed the back brakes (uneven wear on the offside rear disk). What setting would you recommend for day to day driving ??(I have the dash mounted switch) |

It really is a Personal thing and also depends on state of you Maf.
Play around with different settings and see what works best for you. I use setting 5 or 7 for everyday running and 10 when showing off!!! Maf section set on low to Medium, but generally low on Synergy, but may of course be different for you.. |

Seeing as you have the switch like me, then it has to be 10!!. Just use the economy setting for commuting and motorway runs and then flick the switch when you want to have fun. Mine is also an auto and I can confirm better MPG from the synergy set to economy than standard. I have done the MK2 intake mod, cleaned the PCV and have EGR by-pass sat on the shelf awaiting fitting. No black smoke and 650 miles to the tankfull on mainly motorway runs.

Just a quick fuel economy report after fitting rons box.
Got just under 500 miles out of tank of fuel (general driving on motorways and town driving), I used various settings on the unit and on the dash mounted switch. Its worth loosing a couple of mpg's to gain the performance. Will keep you all informed on my mpgs. |
