Another Club announcement: Good News!
Hello everyone,
We are delighted to inform you that, following a series of discussions between the three of us, Ken has decided to return to the fold as a Director of the club. Once Ken had resigned from his position it became apparent to him that with Mike also resigning it would put a strain on the two remaining directors. One resigning was 'ok' as the work that Ken did could be shared out - but two going would make it almost impossible to keep up the momentum that the club had attained over the past eight months. Ken spoke with us both on email and phone and asked if two going was going to make it difficult for us. Rather obviously we both said yes, so he offered to continue where he had left off if a system could be worked out where he did not have to have a constant on-line presence. Together the three of us have come up with a plan that will allow Ken to carry on in his role but in a more joined-up way than previously. Some of the more time consuming items have been taken off him and replaced by items which can be done over a period of time and with no time constraints. So it looks very much like Ken will be coming back in hopefully a week or so. He has a number of things to sort out at home prior to this and once that has been sorted he will be returning. I'm sure you will be very pleased to see him back, and we will be bringing further announcements on club activities shortly. Regards, Christopher and Pete

Can I say a big thanks to Christopher and Pete for allowing me to
resume the work that I do for the club. Its been a strange few days for me, logging on and finding that I have nothing to do except read and answer some posts. Then logging back on to make sure I have not missed anything!. Over the past week or so the three of us have been looking at ways of allowing me back but without the need to get things done in a hurry or with restraints on my time. I am very pleased to say that its all worked out very well and I will be back within the next few days. I would also like to thank those that have sent messages to me over the last few days, its very much appreciated believe me. If everyone who emailed me had also bought a sticker then they would now be very rare! We have also been discussing things where we believe the club has not performed how it should have and we will be looking at those in the near future along with some other improvements. I know I said there will be news of the next meet by last weekend but we are still awaiting one email with permission to use a stately homes drive instead of its car park which will set off our cars to perfection................more news on that just as soon as the permission comes through. Regards Ken |
