Good morning Rod, is it covered under the warranty or “extra”? Whilst I was in the UK, I bought 1 key case for our inherited Honda CRV and a blank key complete with a virgin transponder (we only had one key). I will be interested to hear how you get on.

Good morning Freddie, I was sorry to read about Sandra’s short lived improvement after the procedure in Hospital. In follow up with the specialist, you have to wonder if anything else can be done. I hope so.

The warranty has now expired Phil (it wasn't a brand new car when I bought it) - so the cost is down to me I fear. Hopefully, if it is a software problem, a quick "connect to a laptop and twiddle a few controls" jobbie should sort it. Reading up on the web, it isn't an unknown problem on Honda CRV, Civic and Accord ranges.

Mornin' Rod, Stick it on TOAF that should sort it.

Good morning Ian, have you seen this? https://www.theaa.com/breakdown-cover/connected-car
When I put in my registration number to see if the 75 is compatible, it came up as unknown. I have no experience of TOAF

I also have the pass valid from August. Having a visit on the Saturday before the Walworth Meet. Stopping at Travelodge Washington over Sat. night. I will avoid the Beamish fish & chips this year, tried them and they were rubbish!

Afternoon Phil, I hope you're well. No I haven't seen that before, looks interesting.

I'm still sorting a pile o stuff that's gone rusty, must be half hundred weight of old tools & nuts & bolts. I need to catch the scrap man that comes around regular to take it away, I'm not even trying to move it anymore.

I wonder if this last yank engine is worth saving lol

I sold this Chevrolet engine to a guy over 20 years ago, He came back once to take the carburetor & push rods off it & I've never seen him again.

I said it's going outside as I need the space in the garage, that must have been 15 years ago and he said he'll be round to collect it scrap now.

Would you need a winch to get that up off the ground, best leave it to The scrappy in his van I think it’s not uncommon for members to have engines in their houses or gardens. I went to visit one of the gurus at home up north and he had an engine in his kitchen, another in the garden and a car in his drive was stuffed full of car paraphernalia. I felt it must be hard to clear such things out in case they are ever needed
