Default Would love to trace AV54 GKG

Hello All,

This is a long shot, but does anyone know AV54 GKG? It is a 2004 MG ZT 190 SE + in Xpower Grey. I owned it between 2009 and 2011 and always regretted selling such a lovely car.

I can see that it is still Taxed and MOT’d but I have no idea where it is.

I’d love to find out who has it now, or even own it again.

Cheers
Ed

I've tried that. Unfortunately they won't give me owner details beyond my ownership unless I have a genuine reason. Apparently, just having an interest in the car isn't a genuine reason accordingly to them.

I've been watching eBay, Gumtree and Autotrader etc for the last few years but it's never surfaced.

I did that too for an old Mini of mine.
Again......just wanting to trace to potentially buy it back.......is not a good enough reason.

Just to let you folks know, this car has found me again, and I collected it at the weekend. Time has taken its toll but there's nothing that can't be sorted. Looking forward to getting the old girl ship shape again!

Tell us the story behind it, then.

It's typical really. I'd given up looking for it, so I ended up buying an identical SE last summer which I've now got to decide what to do with.

So when GKG randomly appeared on eBay in November, I was obviously all over it. When I saw the ad, and realised it was GKG, I remember jumping out of my seat!! It's taken this long to close the deal as the previous owner was having trouble finding a replacement vehicle.

It's looking a bit worse for wear. It's had it's SE interior and Apex wheels sold, but otherwise just needs a darn good deep clean and tidy up.

So this weekend, we made the 600 mile round trip with my Contemporary SE from Suffolk to Wales and back. The engine is still as good as it always was.

Today starts the deep clean! There's still a lot of lovely paintwork beneath all the grime. I'll be getting out the clay bar today!

I also need to source and replace the SE leather and apex wheels, but body and mechanicals first.

It's so nice to see it again. I never thought I'd get the chance.

Interestingly, it was registered exactly a week apart from my Contemporary, and 584 out on VINs, so I wonder if they were on the production line at the same time. I'll try and update progress with the car.
