Default I'm BAAAAaaack...

Hi all,

Well, I'm not really back because I never left. I just haven't had a lot of - well, any - spare time in recent memory. Retirement is just too busy. How did I ever find time to work???

Anyway, I am so happy to see the same old names here (and a few new ones).

I went to Slovakia back in August until October. I was busy there, too. Unfortunately, there wasn't a 75 or ZT Tourer to be found there. Rotten luck and worse timing. I ended up with a Renault Espace . I did buy it, and it was actually exactly what I needed - then. I bought it from a friend and he bought it back from me when I left.

So, still looking for the 75 or ZT Tourer, or Passat 1.9 TDi 130, or BMW 330d Tourer or 530d Tourer, or Octavia 1.9 TDi 110. I'm calling about a 75 Tourer next week. We'll see how that goes.

Meanwhile, I have some reading to do to catch up with all I missed.

Merry Christmas to all!

Cheers,
Glenn

Cool

Wondered where you had gone. Nice to see you back, although you never left.

Good luck in your search for a 75 or a ZT.

Merry Christmas to you and family.

Thank you, Bob. The first thing I did was look for your latest trip story! I know it is an emotional and reflective trip, but really, those sentiments really SHOULD be a huge part of Christmas for all of us.

Merry Christmas and Happy, Healthy New Year to you and everybody you know and love.

Cheers,
Glenn

Welcome back Glenn, let's hope you get a very large gift for Christmas, then your search may be over, then again, the search can be good fun.

Thanks Fred! It won't fit under the tree, but I do have a phone call to make next week. It has been (still is) quite a search. Good Tourers are rare as hens teeth over there.

Cheers,
Glenn

Thank you for that - much appreciated. That will be the readily available option as the other choices I mentioned are usually too much money for the condition and mileage.

Cheers,
Glenn
