Just another boxed paperclip.
I think that the internal switch is shorting pin 8 to pin 4 (ground).

Andrew there are ones with two buttons and must include a timer circuit. Press the different buttons for the different services.

I bought one via ebay when my light indicator came on, I think it was about 12 quid plus postage, plug it into the socket under the steering wheel and it reset the thing very easily, worth the money I think

I use the paper clip method as per club threads. Using 2 paper clips in pin 4 and pin 8 works a treat. I was tempted to purchase the reset tool but why bother. My paper clips now reside in the ash tray along with spare bulbs!
