Morning all, a torrential downpour for half the journey to work, then the rain stopped and it brightened up. Nice to have a bit of respite from the wet stuff.

Been & got an haircut at the ASDA hairdressers & did some shopping, I cant believe how expensive fish has got lately, Ridiculous. Cant do without me smoked haddock though. Apple juice stores is looking healthy again.

Brr! Cold out there now it's time to get the thicker cardies out the wardrobe Mind you it's a lot colder in these Winter scenarios on the GWR driving a HST from Ealing Broadway to Slough.

Ian, reading Trans Pennine are withdrawing the class 68s and mk5 coach sets in December! Apparently they're not replacing them with anything instead opting to reshuffle what they have . . . . there's already a lot of complaints about TP's unreliability (hence the government stepping in) and that's bound to leave holes in the schedules,

Need to trust my luck to Trans Pennine next week, Ging is arriving back at Manchester Airport so I'll have to be up at ungodly o'clock (4am ) to get the train back of six from Edinburgh to Manchester Airport. Probably (used to be) an Edinburgh driver, most of them I used to be their gaffer, so might cop a first class seat . . . . free coffee and biccies.

yeah I read a piece about it t'other week, Noisy burgers them 68's, I'm surprised they're replacing them with 185's they must be getting on for 20 years old.
