Default Kv6 engine rebuild cost estimate

Hi, nothings actually happened... Yet. But I was wondering what the going rate would be on an engine rebuild. Its something I'd like to learn myself but I don't have the space or any real way of leaving, I think I'd struggle to get the thing upstairs anyway!

I need to look into this myself unfortunately. I believe my 190 unit has failed liners. I've been looking for a lowish mileage replacement engine so I could take the current unit out and either pay a professional to rebuild it or have a bash myself. What's the worst that could happen?

I'd imagine a figure in the region of £3000 as a guess?

Thinking Nick at Austin Garages would be one of the best people to ask.

They do a reconditioned engine for £2695 and then another grand on top to fit but that's pretty much a new engine.

Thanks for that, I've never actually heard of him somehow, which leads me to my next question, how do I get in contact?
