pcv filter infomation
hi all, i been getting lots of white smoke out my mgzt cdti so i have looked through some old posts and found that changing the pcv filter could stop the problem, i just been to a local xpart dealer and asked for a price on a new part, they came back to me and said they never heard of a pcv filter and asked did i mean a pcv valve, i am not sure on this so could anyone tell me if this is the same thing or not?? i got a quote of £96.61 inc vat

PCV = Pressurized Crankcase Valve
With the filter inside of it which collects all the gunky bits Here's a fitting guide if you've not already found it http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=108032 p.s. the fuel return pipe is the trickiest bit- but this can come off without taking it apart, making it much easier (the 4 x caps push in at the side & lifts off) |
