Default Rover 75 cdti 2 litre diesel - fuel problem

I have just had a new tank pump and under bonnet pump fitted and although the car now runs ok it appears the fuel is draining back when engine switched off. Once it has been left for over an hour I have to wait up to a minute for the fuel system to prime. My garage cannot understand what is wrong.
