Encounter with pheasant
Driving home a pheasant decided to run in front of me, the resultant impact has stove in the drivers side upper bumper grille and cracked the grey plastic part behind it. I just had a look on the Rimmer Bros site and these parts don't seem to be listed separatly, only as part of the bumper.
If anyone has any suggestions of where to try I would be grateful Thanks Justin |

Post a pic so we can asses the damage.
ZT bumpers are one complete unit. |

The mesh can be replaced, I would suggest the internal plastic can be made good with some fibre glass. The Bumper assembly needs to be removed to do both jobs.
Thankfully the external plastic is in tact and the paint looks good. |

Not from Xpart there are third party meshes available just a question of matching it up. I'm sure someone will be along with the correct type. It is glued in place if I remember correctly.
There should be a thread on here somewhere. I'll see if I can find it /them. |

Can't find a thread but I have found this:-
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GRILL-BUMPER-S...b#ht_871wt_941 Measure the existing and see if it is a match. If absolutely necessary you can replace all to match. The existing I believe is stainless steel whereas this says powder coated. Don't rush into it as I said someone may have better info. Last edited by GreyGhost; 4th May 2010 at 19:18.. |

look for crimped stainless steel mesh, measure the wire thickness and the grid size should give you what you need. I used the company when i replaced the mesh on my mk2 zt to match the stainless look of the mk1

is the central bit where the badge is cracked as well? that may repair with a bit if glue and a touch up, but will also require bumper off if it is but if your replacing the mesh, you can do it all in one go
